A Mere Servant's Reward

My joy rises up like the morning!
It fills me up like the noon-day sun!
'Cause I've traded my fear for HIS glory!
When the time of my testing is done!
I'm grateful for the strength He's given me!
He's added hope to my endurance!
All not of HIM is burned away.
An assurance from Himself, that He grants!
In the heart of the fiery inferno
a perfect clarity of vision was found!
In HIM, and HIM alone, there's peace!
Where exalted praise to HIM, is the only sound.
When HIS joy is your only covering,
Forget grief and bitter offense.
When we see Him, who is our Reward,
feeling overcome (by the Blessedness of Who He Is) will commence!
He surprises us with His reflection,
our beauty emerges from the flame.
Flood of mercy lifting us to Him.
This is the wonder (truly feeling it) of why He came!
After the labor, praying, and tears,
Comes gratifying rest from a job well done!
Not from any competency of our own!
but from THE assurance, that THE Master's approval, has been won!

Mercy is Only for Sinners

Of recent fascination, to me, is the word "bigot." The intent of the word is to marginalize, in society, the bearer of a seemingly unwarranted hatred. Bigots are BAD people. Labeling someone is supposed to mobilize and polarize negative emotions against the one so described. Inherent in this process, is the assumption of the speaker, of a singular entitlement to judgement.

Discrimination always requires the application of somebody's moral standard. Judging someone because you think you are superior, is no different than judging someone because they are judging (and still because you think you are superior). Both sides apply a mortal, non-transcendent set of rules of behavior, as to what they feel is right. This has the same result as there being no standard at all. Every one has equal authority, and everyone will do what they really want, anyway. We are all guilty by "the other guy's" measure. It's always someone else who is the guilty party. Seen this way, we can all see that there is no difference between us.

God's law is applied from outside the loop of this paradigm. He has confined humanity within the boundaries of the slavery and condemnation of His perfect law. We are all guilty before Him. Some might even learn from it, that to destroy your neighbor is to destroy yourself. Only absolute love will be allowed to prevail. That love only comes from Him.

Only those brought low can be lifted up again. Only the helpless victims will be offered compassion. Those in need have access to His mercy, just for the asking. He responds with gracious tenderness to the humble of heart. Only those with no cause for pride have room enough in their hearts for it to be filled with Him. It is the confinement under the burden of sin which has taught us to see our need of Him and our powerlessness. Weakness teaches us to be the supplicant of the Greatest Servant of all, God Himself, so that we too, become servants. Through the very weakness which is His gift to us, comes our deliverance, and our promotion to His glory.

The Flames of Hell

I must confess that until fairly recently, I had not given much thought to the concept of hell. I mean, avoiding it is so simple. Then someone introduced a new concept to me, the idea that GOD is to blame, and is answerable for the torment which is hell. Despite the fact that our fault is our own, and that God has interposed HIMSELF between those who trust Him and this ultimate condemnation, I have endeavored to entertain the question.

Yes, He did create hell. It's original purpose was as a quarantined disposal area for a wannabe god, the initiator of lies and murder. Hell is the permanent answer to those who would be gods, would be without God, for a deadly, all destructive illness. Every time there is sin (whatever is at cross purposes with the ultimate goodness which is God) hell is enlarged, and claims more territory.

This territory is not in spatial dimensions. It's the blinded minds of those who are enslaved. It is the darkness of the silence of conscience, in dead men still walking, THE time when the truth is finally revealed to those who have refused to see. It's suffering is the pressure of fully awakened responsibility, without hope of the satisfaction of obedience. It is the fear and terror of acutely felt, unrelieved pain, without hope of deliverance. There will be no more shelter or relief from what the lawless have done! Hell is failure without end. It is the final and irreversibly total unveiling of  HIS anger and disappointment, where the blindness of our pride and pretensions no longer shield us from who He is. Hell's utter devastation and destruction are the infinite weight of full exposure to the mourning of God, the realization of how boundless is the merit of what He has spoken! The flames of hell are His pain and grief.

Make no mistake: We live in a buffer zone, where we are protected from exposure to this suffering called hell. We are the weakness of a screaming newborn baby, being handled gently by the father.  Herein is our opportunity to learn of the only escape possible. Here in this venue, He has provided both reparation for our crimes, and freedom to learn of HIS love, the drive to a unity of giving.

God's detractors assume that everyone can be rehabilitated (choice-less is NOT love). Hell is caricatured as a medieval torture chamber, where diety tortures those helpless against Him. Who could believe in such a monstrosity? (Actually, it's much worse than that. It's what we build with our own hearts.) Those who don't even know Him presume to judge Him. They make God into a projection of the powerful hate inside themselves.

There is SO little time left. His patience is almost at an end and His children need deliverance. Please place yourself in His Hands, at His command, so He can deliver YOU, too!

Hebrews 12:29

for our God is a consuming fire.

Revelation 14:10

He also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.

Isaiah 33:14-15

Sinners in Zion are terrified; Trembling has seized the godless. “Who among us can live with the consuming fire? Who among us can live with continual burning?” He who walks righteously and speaks with sincerity, He who rejects unjust gain And shakes his hands so that they hold no bribe; He who stops his ears from hearing about bloodshed And shuts his eyes from looking upon evil;
Deuteronomy 32:22
For a fire is kindled in My anger,
And burns to the lowest part of Sheol,
And consumes the earth with its yield,
And sets on fire the foundations of the mountains.

(How to) Be a Watchman for The Lord!

Too many people put hope and trust into too many things, people, and organizations. Only one thing saves: The applied blood of Jesus Christ! How are they to know this, those who have no care but for their own life's business? They are not to be left to go about in blissful ignorance of the harsh fate that awaits.

Make no mistake, The judgement is coming, greatly heralded and preannounced by the specified signs. All of this is spoken of in the Word.

A watcher must first have his own eyes opened, must be able to discern the Voice of his King. He must study for himself, not leave this important knowledge to others. Only deep contemplation, bathed in fervent prayer and an obedient heart, will enable him to detect the warning alarms occuring all around him. Conversely, it is the one who does not care, who will simply brush it all off. Better to light a fire of motivation which comes from knowing what is going to happen.

Here are some of the signs due to be fulfilled. I have seen these through the lense of His Word:

There are blood moons just on the horizon, in 2014 and 2015, as spoken of in Revelations 6 and Matthew 24. Mystery Babylon, the great whore, is the religion of Islam. The regions monopolized by this religion are being brought to power by the second beast, the false prophet, who I name as Obama.  This religion will contol, for a time, the terrible beast of the kingdom of "antichrist." The bismallah will be his mark. The prince that shall come shall come from the ancient nation of Assyria, from just east of Greece. After the rapture, "on the same day" as Jesus said, the horse of war will be released. Damascus will disappear, Egypt will be in civil war, and a Russian-Iran alliance will attack Israel.

The Way Through

My life consists of nothing but miracles. That is what it means to believe, when we clear our hearts of all obstructions to His workings, let go of our pride of acheivement, to make way for His glory. That is the proper ending and the goal, the moral of the story.

You still have yet to hear the story itself. In a nutshell, here is my path to the miracle.

During the night, I woke up with an attack of my peculiar health issue, a very scary episode. I was terrified. I was praying. It doesn't seem right to me to associate faith and panic, so I was propelled by the dichotomy into a search for the spiritual meaning there, as The Lord knew I would be. I have found, from past experience, that there will be fire and flood before deliverance.

In a performance and production based world, failure is made personal. Someone must be blamed. From this view, pain is but just punishment for missing the requirements. If we are hurting, then logically, we must deserve it. The trauma of the experiences are strongholds of satanic forces. Never believe the voices, even our own, which say we are the only ones responsible for our suffering, that we must take control, we must make it go away ourselves.

God's children must reject these labels, must speak what is true and not fear. There will be pain, but be confident that it is not God doing the hurting. He only allows pain to bring us to something better, to shape us. By it, we inherit a deeper strength.

When there is no escape from the fear, it is the opportunity to be stronger. When death seems to be staring me in the face, I must not let myself be distracted or let myself accept the lie being forced on me. It's not about me at all, not about what I should have, could have, done better. There is no condemnation to my suffering. It is idolatry to think myself so powerful, to focus on methods and disciplines, instead of going to, and resting in, the Source Himself.

Isn't the Absolute Lord the one who paid our pardon? Freed from my burden of shame and blame, I can but rejoice to find that He is at work in me! The greatest miracle of all, is the one He does in me!

I Still Believe!

Night approaches, seeking a lockdown of fear, a prison none can leave.

Yet He will be my light in the darkness. I will find Him there with me, I believe.

His children soon learn, that it's the light of His presence, by which the darkness is relieved.

He teaches us to yearn for Him, as He longs for us, I believe.

When the fear, and the pain, and the grief closes in, my stubborn heart cannot conceive,

how this will have multiplied my joy when I see, the King in whom I believe.

The advesary works to provoke my offense and thereby to deceive,

that God has revoked my pardon, it was not as all effective, as I believe.

My flesh pays the price of this battle, the final victory I do not yet perceive,

Yet He assures me the war is already won, and HE is the one I believe!

It is not by my own effort, that His precious grace I have achieved!

This is the God of mercy, who gives freely for the asking, I believe!

Those who do not avail themselves, will be shut away forever,to grieve,

from the Face of compassion, who had admonished them but to believe!

Rock solid peace in the midst of trouble, by faith you will receive,

When you witness His mighty deliverance, daring despite circumstance, to believe!

My complete and absolute trust in Him, you see, has nothing of the naive.

I've learned overwhelming joy is my inheritance, from Him in whom I still believe!

Broken Hearted

I've know, what it feels like, to be outside,
the resigned bitterness, when all hope has died.
the emptiness left, when all the tears have been cried.
Don't let the anger, keep the light, from coming inside.

To be able to love, you must first feel pain.
Only sin's worst effects are sufficient to explain
the reality, that self sacrifice, made to Him, is what will gain
the peace and joy, only a heart at rest in Him, can entertain.

Meanwhile, there's another sorrow, that the godly must endure,
those returned to wide eyed innocence, with eternal destination now secure,
who long to see their loved ones, sanctified, made pure,
bowed at the feet of the Holiness, that only His blood can procure.

A prayer for the brokenhearted, we are called to bear,
we are examples of His grace, that we are called to share,
we carry the seed of hope, for redemption from despair,
far beyond our strength, is this gift to us, beyond compare.

Voices of opposition can but tell the lie,
that it's in God's heart to condemn, to deny,
the needs of those who love Him, when to Him they cry!
A loving Father has promised their every need to supply!

Are you the one, after all He's done, who tells Him to leave you alone?
Your self destructive behavior, you're expecting Him to condone?
Do you think He'll be patient always, the settlement forever postpone?
When the very air you breathe, He owns?

He became the Man of Sorrows, the Brokenhearted, to rescue us all.
His is still the loving patience, while sending out His call.
The wounds He suffered for us, should appall,
to persuade us from the cliff edge, of the destruction soon to befall.

Be prepared for powerful answers, when you dare to question the King,
the grand depth, of His wisdom, instilled in what He is fashioning,
the deep meaning imbued, in the very air, we are breathing.
How could you doubt the very One, the Only One, who gives.........everything?

God Because God

Oh, but of course! That one small phrase covers an infinity of beauty, wisdom, and power! The Almighty is sufficient unto Himself, both in His demands for perfection, and in His complete fulfillment of His own requirements. His power is total and so is His giving. Giving is the nature He constructs in us, so that we become like Him and part of Him: totally His. He cannot give less than all of Himself, and He wants this for us too. It's an all or nothing scenario.

If we defy His ordained order, attempt to short circuit His plan, we end up with this baseness called religion. Religion is about our own effort (on our own behalf). The need to worship is there, but in a deteriorated, ineffectual state of only what we have to offer. The gods of religion, the overseers of futility, can only exhibit our very own feet of clay, the weakness of an evil nature. They are poisonous shadows of the all sufficiency of God.

Christ is the only One who offers us the transcendent, the Superreality. Only He can bridge the gap, being both man and superscedant of the flesh, God Himself. No religion, coming from man, can offer  what He gives. Religion is only a fraudulent counterfeit of The Reality. Religion can only validate the truth and verify the claims of the Savior it so uselessly attempts to imitate!

Now and Then

2 Peter 3 "Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation.”

This is how the unfaithful treat with grace. If you know you are untrustworthy, then of course you would extend that same lack of consideration to others. The Highest authority would receive the greatest disrespect. These are the very ones who have taken over possession of, and residence in, the vineyard of the Lord. Yet violence will not be given a portion of the inheritance. The usurpers will be evicted, dispossessed.

Grace and the preaching of love, will soon end. God will soon deal with the faithless as He always has, with the judgment that is their due payment. The great sign, of the removal of His beloved, the church, will be the announcement of the beginning of the "Day of the Lord." As it was for Lot in Sodom, so too the Bride of Christ, the inhabitants of the Heavenly Jerusalem (city of peace) will be removed before the time of God's wrath. The inhabitants of the earth will clearly understand, because they will hide themselves in caves, and under mountains.

The time is late. In fact, it's just before midnight. The Good Father knows where all of His children are. He has to know. He must pull them out fast when He opens the way for the evil one to return to full influence and power. Does the Father know where YOU are? Have you asked Him to save you from the judgment? Don't let ANYTHING distract you from this most important settling of accounts! He's paid it with His blood. Now ask Him to apply it on your behalf..................

For the Joy Set Before Him (and Us)

On this side of forever, there are those who cannot see it. They cannot comprehend perfection, cannot  aspire to miracles. Their god is no more than a projection of their own pain and anger, and limited to the futility of perishable objects. Any urging to the grander vision is sloughed off as manipulation. Wouldn't they do the same? Love's pleading is reduced to animal noises.

There is One who has breached the barrier, taken the initiative! "For the joy set before Him," He encompassed our shame. He has totally owned death and it's utter hopelessness! Pointlessness has turned into purpose! What was His motivation? Why does He celebrate in perpetuity? His joy is that we join Him there! His satisfaction is to see us ecstatic and glorying in His victory for us! His joy is to witness our rejoicing, as He rejoices, because we are reconciled!

Oh, the sweetness of relinquishing what we were not strong enough to carry, that catastrophic horror of our sin! Found in the depths of it's despairing slavery is the earnest sincerity of choice, to commit ourselves to joyful freedom! How blessed is the hunger for THAT joy, for when we are finally satisfied! The beautiful, the unquenchable joy! He is it's apex, it's object, the goal! The long road will take all His children home!

Nameless

When I was young, I felt rejected.
Other's scorn, I just accepted.
Who could know if it was me?
Why they didn't like, what they could see?
There are those who mistake gentleness
for fear, in their eagerness,
to use force, to repress
anything but their own progress.
I had no force, of my own,
only humbleness, did Your word condone.
I used prayer, as my recourse.
Submission to You, only love could enforce!
Treasures mined from humbleness
No apologies, for my awkwardness,
Envy and jealousy will not progress,
to achieve victory by gentleness.
Acquiring wisdom can be tough.
Esoteric facts are never enough.
Understanding has a high price,
The end of naivety! Satan doesn't play nice!
The thing is, he doesn't control
The inheritance of the godly soul.
God ultimately brings only good
out of evil, as He said He would!

Out of the Silence

Being a member of the body of Christ for a long period of time makes it difficult, if not impossible, to comprehend the strident voices which seek to deny life experience and our very identity.  It always seems to be a contest of wills, God against His detractors. Opposition is a blatant inability to hear Him. For believers, it's a wake up call to revisit the topic of why we believe.

We all make the same spiritual journey to believe, when we come out of the silence. The written Word offers us His story, and the stories of those whom have learned to hear Him. First we accept what He has told us in His word and from His ambassadors, then we test this new information by practice, and by putting it into use. While we examine, we too are being challenged and tested. By being given the opportunity to defect, out intentions are laid bare, are made apparent. It is impossible to build our own image and yet retain the trust called faith. We can, instead, listen for His instructions. If what we want is Him, we will hear Him. "My sheep hear my voice, and follow me." That Voice opens our eyes and ears via our hearts, by love. Our perception of Him becomes plain. THAT is not something that can be negated by denial.

If the will is set against persuasion, then excuses can always be found. Some have not sought, and therefore have not found, the skill of spiritual hearing, and the submitting of the heart. The deaf should not be condemning those who hear because of their own deficient failure of faith. It is the same as blaming God for their own evil. The caretakers of conscience should not be scapegoated into silence by discrediting or dismissal of the gospel. God's critics always seek to silence Him, but HE is not silent. His extravagant reward is the totality of the blessing which is His Person.

The Hem of His Garment

Frank amazement is the only possible answer to attempts by atheism to preach morals. Atheism owns genius at spotting hypocrisy in anything called religion, because of the suffering caused at the hands of authoritarianism. Atheism's only weapons of morality, that we can be judged by, are the laws given by God. It is God using them to shine a light on the ragged remnants of what is as yet unhealed by the Savior. The Lord uses the opposition to create the desire within us to be completely, totally whole in the strength of His mercy. Being surrendered, with nothing reserved, abjectly worshipful, is to be free, at peace. Unfortunately, and to our shame, we must be driven to the point of desperation, before we see the truth of who we are. Our pride builds barriers around us, not bridges.

We were created to have dominion in fellowship with Him. As yet, it does not appear, as to what this is to look like, yet we catch glimpses. While we are here, we mostly get to see what "without Him" looks like. By rejection and persecution, our status as pilgrims in this world is brought home to our understanding. We are gifted with the incentive to pursue HIS glory, to the ends of the earth and beyond our own strength, and to our last breath. We become sure that it would be better to die a thousand torturous deaths that to let go of our Loved One's Hand. The question always is, "Do you trust me?" All our searching, all of our inquiries, inevitably bring us to this truth, that the only value is Him, and what is of Him.

In the dejected  state of our suffering and slavery to sin, our life force bleeds out like an endless issue of blood. More and more builds up the pressure of the cry to be released from our infirmity. Repeatedly, our pride is battered down, so that we can only crawl. From the ground, we can still reach up to touch the hem of His garment. From the power of Him who knows it all, it is enough! When we really need it, and reach out with the dregs of our strength, to touch Him, He is sufficient! Into the face of our desperation, faith, when it is in Him, heals us so we are whole!

Holy! Holy! Holy!

It is only God who is holy!
Sin is MY problem, MY choice
when I turn away from His goodness!
Yet He came and took over my problem!
He, as the answer, is big enough to trust!
completely, with what I cannot handle!
MY evil is what causes suffering.
I take responsibility and confess.
I ask to take on God's nature,
so He allows me His strength,
and instruction from His omniscience!
I can trust Him with my evil!
I can trust Him with it's results!
I can trust Him with the outcome!
I can trust Him with the victory!
Justice and mercy WILL be done
as it happened, at the empty tomb!
In His presence is total joy or terror!
Will you meet the gentle Savior.........
or the Judge!

Scaling the Mountain

I noticed a dichotomy in the approaches used, by the two opposing sides in this issue, of proving the existence of God. On the side of atheism/agnosticism is the demand to produce God for questioning, or, failing that, to at least give evidence for His passage. On the other side, represented by William Lane Craig, are only assertions of simple logic, the obvious ones that God must exist for philosophical or scientific reasons. This did not seem to answer the questions of unbelievers. There was no engagement of the minds, and therefore the issues presented had not been addressed. That's a whole mountain of questions that went unanswered!

I attempted to assay the foot of the mountain. It seems only logical that mere ignorance of history can be quickly allayed by the facts. We already know that the places named in the events of the new testament actually existed and still do today. We have the church's historian, Luke, writing of the first few years of the church in the Book of Acts. There are the letters of Paul from prison, to the churches he started in the Book of Acts. From there, many other letters from other church leaders, with quotes from the apostles, seamlessly flow, in their dozens, throughout the first 300 years of church existence. The bodies of most of the twelve apostles are well know to be buried in Saint Peter's Basilica because of the diligence of the church. The church has been copious in it's writings and diligent in it's record keeping, so as to insure it's legitimate inheritance. Even the later accounts which strayed into the error of mythologizing, were kept to reflect upon. Early on, there are two independent and adversarial admissions to the miracles of Jesus, one being in the Talmud in the second century, and the other being of a hostile Ceasar in the fourth century. These are only some of the facts touched upon in our discussion.

At each stride of my upward mental journey, my self defined opponent always took the critical high ground so as to maintain the strategic advantage. The advesary took up the posture of a skeptic, thereby conferring upon himself the titles of judge and jury, not only of the rules of evidence, but of the logic and reasoning with which to deduce the verdict for everyone. At every step, I was struck by the stinging rebuke of the desicated remains of abandoned intellectual integrity, driven by the screaming, adamant winds of universal denial. Periodically, between intermidable bouts of debate, I would pause to consider my course. Had I made any progress? The storm of doubt still raged around me, but I remained right where I had begun. It would never end. Apparently William Lane Craig had learned something critical, as to the true nature of this disagreement, long before I showed up on the scene. This was a perpetual, nonexistent, mountain. All there was, was the self deception of the refusal to see.

What was meant to be discouraging, instead secured for me more clarity. Truth is always an affirmation. That's why He called Himself, "I Am."  No amount of nulifying rhetoric can change addition to subtraction. There is no tactic used, however insidious or deceptive, which can void Who He Is, or what He has accomplished for us. Trying to hide The Fact that is Him is trying to obscure the actual issue. No matter how much knowledge we accumulate about Him, it still always comes back to faith! Will we ever get to the point where we just trust Him? That's the REAL mountain we must climb, right there! Can a self proclaimed critic even consent to us resting our weary bones of inquiry in the name of Jesus?

Defining Ignorance

Logic is no more than the assumption that there is an absolute standard of truth and reality to our existence. In order for us to learn, to assign meaning to what is material, to be able to infer, so as to make behavioral decisions, we must first use reason. Reasoning is categorizing, generalizing, drawing conclusions that make sense, to us, from the facts and our experience. The more possibilities and explanations our mind can encompass, the greater our chances of discovering the truth and the actual nature of reality. Attempting to sort facts by what is merely assumed to be true (wishful thinking) leads to incorrect conclusions.

Every field of study has it's own standards as to what constitutes acceptable evidence. Everyone approaches information with biases acquired from prior experiences. Others can contribute their opinions, but reality dictates that only an individual can determine for himself what he will accept as true. Force is antithetical to truth. Conclusions reached by reason of rejection of anything that is unpalatable to a person, cuts this person off from access to any truth separate from himself. He no longer has access to truth if he refuses what is self evident. Elimination of portions of reality because of sheer preference causes ignorance. Ignorance is choosing to ignore the facts.

The God of the Bible has a standard of evidence too. He said that for any matter to be established as truth, that we are to have two or three witnesses (Deut 17:6). He said that He is the only one who can tell us the future before it happens. (Isaiah 46:9-10, Eccl. 3:15, Duet 18:21) It's called prophesy. It is how He has told us He proves Who He Is. In spiritual matters, it's THE standard of proof.

The promised Messiah and deliverer was to be born of a virgin (Gen. 3:15, Jer. 31:32, Isa. 7:14). He was to be born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2). He was descended from Jesse, the father of King David (Isa. 11). Messiah was to suffer and die for His people (Gen 3:15, Isa. 53, Psalm 22, Daniel 9:26). The 70 weeks of the prophesy of Daniel  9 predicted the exact day when He would announce Himself to His people (Zach. 9:9). He would be sold by a friend for 30 pieces of silver, and the money used to buy a potter's field (Zech 11:13).

There are prophesies being fulfilled today. Israel has been regathered, against all odds, to her homeland (Isa. 11:11).She was reborn as a nation by simple announcement of the fact (Isa. 66:8). The Israelites would fly back to their land (Isa. 60:8). They would return to speaking the Hebrew language again (Zeph. 3:9).

There are predictions that seem about ready to become reality. There is the city of Damascus in Isaiah 17. In Isaiah 19, Egypt is mentioned. There are many others which seem to be on the brink of being accomplished.

Choosing to overlook what God has said, is defining the limits of your destiny as the destitue boundaries of who you are, by yourself, without Truth. Prophesy is to warn us. For those who choose to disregard this kindness, ignorance is hell.

Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
Because you have rejected knowledge,
I also will reject you from being My priest.
Since you have forgotten the law of your God,
I also will forget your children.

Destroying the World

There are some people who are content to just trust God, who have decided that testimony is a trustworthy account of the kindness and wisdom of God. As a result of their faith in what seems to them to be common sense and reasonable, they believe. Just because they cannot express or verbalize what they know, in a language form respected by unbelievers, does not signify that they do not dwell in absolute reality. There is a greater reality which they're plugged into. Entrenched sceptics could take a lesson there.

There are brave ones out there who want to know more, who see those who have had experiences of God and want this for themselves. They push past the boundaries of the material world to get past the how to get to the why. They want to understand. They are driven to meaning, knowing that satisfaction will only come from the Infinite. Anything less would be hell. They take the risk of obedience to a higher standard, and then the Infinity responds.

A christian who desires to be more intimate with God has access to the special revelation of relationship with Him. It includes reciprocal interaction. God's visible responses satisfy the hungry heart. The surpassing pleasure of God's love becomes the All Important, the servant's total world, while the physical world fades into a passing accessory to the Real. He who is satisfied with God need compete with no one, for he is made complete.

Unbelievers do not share the same insight and experience as the believer, of what is real. There is no more, for them, than what is right in front of them. The morality of those who's ethics are dependent on the physical means they do not have a transcendent, absolute standard. Their morality does not come from beyond themselves. Each of them are their own world. They are in competition with all others, on all fronts. This very competition which drives to be and have more, means that (in order to achieve their goal) they must violate the boundaries of others. They would be, in effect, only accountable to themselves. The feelings of others are ephemeral concepts, outside of their own experience, therefore existence, itself, is a war for them.

On the stage which is the world, the matrix which gives context to meaning, the actions which demonstrate our intent are displayed for all to see. Are we competing to put ourselves first, or is what we want God, Himself? Will we assert ourselves so as to destroy the world of and for others, or will we trust God to satisfy us with Himself? It's only the ones who think that they can judge what's right for themselves, who will be the ones who will destroy the world.

The Devil's Theology

There is a phrase in the Declaration of Independence which reads "Our creator has endowed us with certain inalienable rights, these being life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." This sentence also reveals an essential order of increasing dependence, with each successive noun resting it's full philosophical weight on the one before. Those who do not believe in God are content to enjoy the full benefits of the last of these rights listed, choosing not to realize that if you remove the creator from this verbal equation, all of the rest of the rights listed are unsupportable. Without God there can be no rights. Without the objectivity of the One above us, there can be no demarcated boundaries between us. What are rights but the entitlement to ethical treatment by others? Without God there can be no morals. Even the constitution's secular authors recognized what the foundations of morals rested upon.

It seems pretty obvious that there are widely varying ideas between individuals on what constitutes right and wrong. Even morals imposed collectively by societal groups called governments have sometimes proven to be in gross error, witnessed by the execution of vast segments of their population. That we can even decide that these actions are wrong is because we live in a theistically based society. It is better, for individuals and society at large, if morals originate from a source which is fastidious and particularly specific in it's application of standards for thoughts and behavior. Put another way, we want someone to be the judge who is absolute in their justice and all encompassing in their mercy, yet who gives us the freedom to choose. Without choice, it would be rape. Only an all powerful God can give us all the above in one package.

Let's examine atheism for morals by philosophical dissection of it's allegedly "scientific" prop of evolution. Behavioral fruit doesn't fall far from the philosophical parent tree. We can actually tell what people really believe by the way that they act, not so much by what they say. Saying you have morals doesn't make it so.

The theory of evolution is founded upon the mechanism of natural selection. Other ways of phrasing it are survival of the fittest, and that all life is in a competition to pass on genes. Aside from the fact that success in propagation does not account for emotion or intellect (and therefore meaning, which is what you get when you put together mind and emotion), there is still another problem here. Objective morals cannot be derived from an environment of "kill or be killed." Evolution is selfishness in action. It is working toward a goal, where morals would just be in the way of survival , the concept of "might makes right." The response of "I don't want to get hurt, so I don't hurt others" just opens up this thinker for the receipt of the Darwin award (extinction/death). Kindness is not an evolvable trait. Group cooperation to ensure survival is what war is.

Now, let's look at the results of social experiments in atheism and what comes from applying the precepts of Darwinism. Some benefits might be a motivation to excel, but each individual cannot exceed the limits of the material that they have to work with. Regimes that were officially atheist, as in founded on the principle, have killed a staggering number of their own citizens. It could be said that they were applying the logical actions necessary to achieve clearly expressed goals. Those actions might be expedient, but they are not ethical.

Those who have experienced deprecations at the behest of this brutal philosophy are best qualified to judge it's usefulness to society, and how "moral" is the application of it's dogmas. There are many autobiographies that illustrate how thoroughly life does not function well under this authoritarian system. The authors' suffering and disatisfaction are very compelling.

A personal examination of what is right in front of us, honestly evaluated, could be done of the communications, of any claiming to be atheists, in a place where they are debating those with other points of view. Proof of morality can be seen by the way others are treated who might disagree with them. Loyalty to a particular way of thinking does not have to muddy the waters of truth when coalescing information into a viable conclusion. The groups represented could be considered as control groups in a scientific experiment. How do persons of a each philosophical persuasion treat those who are weaker than them?

The devil was the first anti-theist. His temptation was, in essence, "What do you need God for if you know good from evil?" Evolutionary philosophy also eliminates any need for God. Those who put their faith in evolution must do a lot of futile mental gymnastics to build a logical framework for morals. The only reason anyone can be held to a standard of morals is because we live in a theistic society. (Character is what you do when no one is watching.) If you remove or marginalize the faith portion of society, the rest of the population's true value system will reassert itself. Machiavelli said "The first sign of the degrading of society is contempt for the sacred."

Morals, in order to be valid or credible, must be absolutes. Contrary to the devil's theology, Jesus requires all christians to be ready and willing to give up their lives for Him, the Absolute. Jesus said, "He that seeks to save his life shall lose it, but he that gives up his life for my sake shall find it." He also said "He that does not take up his cross (execution method) and follow me, is not worthy of me." Willingness to surrender your life to follow God's standard of right and wrong is the true test of morals. This is the exact opposite of the whole point of evolution.

Therefore, right here is the evidence for God: The atheist. Even a child can see and understand the moral contrast between what is of God (self sacrifice) and what is not of God(it's all about me). Only in the godly moral of self sacrifice is there enough power to change the world. A Love that would glady die for you should make you cry every time.

Thank God for Atheists!

I want to verbally express my gratitude to God for His awful wisdom in giving us the freedom to chose. Intrinsic to choice is change. We must change in order to learn, so as to become more like God, to acquire more of His character and motivation. Love must be learned. It cannot be bestowed by fiat.

I am convinced that the vast majority of humanity is content to cower in passivity. Those who shelter themselves in activist inactivity are functional unbelievers, because they lack the convictions of conscience which would drive them to change the world. People tend to assume that a position of neutrality on their part will make them immune to the deprecations of evil. Then there are the few among us who are just like the child who is considered the black sheep of the family, who are intelligent enough to recognize this unspoken hypocrisy, and take up the negative position like a mantra and take it to the limits of it's darkest implications.

Atheists tell us there is no God. Atheists realize, that if the sovereign who rules a people of love and peace disappears, then those same people are defenseless. Atheists cannot help but see vulnerability as tacit permission to assert the full burden of their dark theology, expecting their victims to assume the reins of blackest despair. This view's most vigorous proselytizers have lost all hope, so they feel no one else is entitled to any, either. The last vestiges of the intimate knowledge of God, in the form of believers, must be eradicated, so as to secure their own position as the wicked gods of the universe. In their minds, once the christians are gone, they will be vindicated. (Sounds like hell to me!)

Where is the good in that dark scenario? Where is God when christians die at the hands of atheists? What lessons are there worth thanking God for from the godless? How can we answer the hopeless who desire us to feel the same?

We can learn a lot from atheists. First of all, we are woken up to motivation. We have hope, but do we even know or understand why? How can we be driven by a love we do not know by experience?Atheists provide us with opportunity to suffer with those who suffer, as God has done for us in an evil world. Fanatical atheists are a lesson in themselves, with an in-your-face attitude exemplifying the poisonous character traits which are the culmination of godlessness. Atheists teach us that when we blame God for evil, we are, in reality, attempting to justify our own. Atheists make it obvious that the truth requires a commitment to it's defense, and that Good should have a mind and voice so that He can live among us.

The most important lesson that atheists can teach us is that we can stare into the gibbering face of hell................and laugh. God is so much more powerful than this. For those with the courage to claim His promises, your inheritance is waiting for you.

Why Did God Let Man Fall?

When I was pondering this question, it occurred to me that God intended the fall of man to happen. The enemy would not have been able to seduce the original man if God had not already planned to make use of this situation. By allowing man to chose in favor of "the knowledge of good and evil", God was placing man under the tutelage of the one who knew the most about the subject, satan himself. The Lord wanted His children to have the benefit of all the devil's "wisdom", of a system based on force and violence, of the "appeal" of the worldview which separates itself from God, seeks to supplant God, seeks to eschew everything God is, and then by default, declares itself to be as good as God. This system, the "knowledge of good and evil" is nothing more than death, itself. It is nothing more glamorous than that. God is life, love, and all good things. Anything apart from Him has none of these things. Evil seeks to be like Him, but without Him. What satan wanted was absolute power without responsibility.

God's children are those who have rejected satan's way, the way of dominating. They have taken up the mantra of service and self sacrifice, which is the embodiment of Godly authority. To be like God is to be the servant of all. The children of God will have what satan so coveted, the rulership and dominion. This is being of Him, that we should conquer all through sacrifice. This is being of the same mind as Christ, that we should give everything (of ourselves) to inherit everything. Death has become a mere tool in the hands of God, to be used in this process. ("Be ye faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.") By sacrifice, we gain more of God, His nature, and His motivation. The fallen state is the moulding process whereby we can implement His true choices of courage and solidarity, so in the end, God will raise us far higher than He could have raised mere innocence. We will judge angels because we have suffered, and they have not. In the end, we will have the best of all possible worlds.

Rules for Debating With Atheists

Here are some fun rules for those wishing to debate online with atheists....

Gentlemen, I noticed that I was accused of not being familiar with the rules of argument. Therefore, I have drawn up a list of rules, inspired by the atheist suggestions on this thread. This will ensure that the atheists have only docile, compliant, and gullible christians to interact with. This will protect their egos from further bruising by the facts:
 Rules of Engagement:
1. If an atheist doesn't understand the christians's argument, then the christian's argument is wrong.
2.The intensity of the anger with which an atheist presents his argument is directly proportional to the truth of the atheist's argument (Proof by anger).
3.Christians are not allowed to be patronizing, condescending, arrogant, contemptuous, angry, insulting, egotistical, or sarcastic. Only atheists are allowed to speak or act this way, thereby maintaining the irresistible appeal of the atheist worldview as sole and separate property of same.
4.Christians are not allowed to claim truth, because there is no such thing, unless, of course, you are an atheist.
5.Atheists don't have to answer questions because they are here to interrogate christians so as to intimidate them into giving up their worldview. (Hey, it's a calling.)
6.A christian's personal experience, common sense, and logical conclusions from personal research are not admissible as evidence, because these are what persuaded the christian in the first place.
7.Christians must not make claims of having either intelligence or morals, because by definition, christians have neither.
8.None of the christian's questions can be directly answered, but must be redirected into a personal attack against the christian.

There you go, guys. I hope that I have clarified that I do indeed understand that there are rules for debating with atheists. I am posting these rules so all the christians here will understand how to act so that they will be lovable and acceptable to atheists, just like the village idiot. Thanks, guys! You are SO inspiring!

America

Recent videos posted online had claims of divine revelation confirming Obama is the Antichrist. Now, I have no doubts that he is OF antichrist, but it remains to be seen whether he will be the one to put his authority behind a seven year treaty with Israel. (Daniel 9) I did get the overwhelming conviction in my soul, of "something wicked this way comes," when he was elected the first time around. His ascension, however, was but a culmination of more than two hundred years of sordid American history.

I am thoroughly convinced that the vast majority of our founding fathers were not christians (even though they obviously acknowledged how invaluable was the Bible to governance). They were far too steeped in paganism, and considered themselves too cultured and educated to hold with such "superstitions." The halls of power in Washington DC are built upon Greek systems of thought and are facsimiles of, and decorated as, temples to the gods. A long time ago, I read a sermon by a gentleman pastor who preached in the mid 1800s, blasting the nation called America for its obvious idolatry. The preacher considered it a partner in crime to Rome (Roman Catholic Church) in it's deception. He considered the RCC to be the Beast of Revelation, and his conclusion about America is one that I now agree with.

Mind you, I don't agree that Rome is the whole of the beast, although it has plenty of Babylon about it (Remember the statue in Daniel had two legs). I believe that Islam is it's other half, even more militantly antichrist in it's denial of the incarnation of our Deliverer. Islam's primacy in these midnight hours is the fulfillment of the conglomerate creature that rises from the sea. These maniacal barbarians hordes, I believe, are the sudden destruction promised to the unbelievers of the western world, to apostate Ephraim.

Just recently, I have become aware, because of the mass of information available to us in our modern world, that this country's dream of freedom and liberty, has all along been a carefully constructed sham, a facade (but of course, used by God, and allowed by Him.) I believe the founders thought to incubate an ancient prophesy, to bring about the return of the "Light Bringer" (who would break the chains of our "servitude" to God and makes us gods) and a new world order. The symbolism is everywhere. Americans are slaves of their own government financial system. The socialist elite spend our money and we work to pay for it. We are owned by foreign powers, who use our industry and work ethic to finance their elitist, warring systems. They are parasites on the capitalist system.

Obama's role in this now seems clear cut. He acts subservient to foreign powers. In all of the countries he visits, who are adverse to us, he is welcomed with open arms. As he said in his speech in Egypt (untranslated and unreported in America) "I am one of you." Obama is not american, he is arab. Obama seems intent on midwifing the birth of radical extremist governments in the middle east. He is aiding the bloodthirsty predator beast in gaining worldwide dominion.

So, although most people believe america is not mentioned in Bible prophesy, I agree with the conclusion of the long ago preacher who believed that America is the second beast of the book of Revelation. Consider this: If beasts are kingdoms (and anyone who studies prophesies knows they are) and the horns are the individuals who rule or govern them, then Obama and Biden are the twin horns of a so called "Christian" nation (like a lamb), which never the less partakes of the full nature of the dragon. That would make Obama the false prophet. Remember how the false prophet has the power to call down fire from heaven on those who refuse to worship the beast? Remember how Obama sends drones for strategic strikes against America's enemies?

The beast system existed long before america. It's last king will be it's most evil. In the old testament he is called the King of Egypt, the King of Babylon, and the Assyrian. The "Idol" Shepard has a withered right arm and eye due to a deadly head wound (which Revelation says is healed). Obama's wildest dreams of Chicago style thuggery will soon be eclipsed by a global flowering of the mass murder which is so common and normal for Islam.

The Calling

When he finally finds the One he's been seeking all along,
When he truly sees the Father, of the family to which he now belongs,
Exalted joy is born in flesh, his soul sings the heavenly song.

He's turned away from lesser things, in peace he does delight.
The burdened and the sorrowful, by gentleness, he does invite.
See, the weakest, God can change and use for good, despite.

It's gratitude that sets a fire, in the flesh, that burns,
to set the world aflame, and have it be, His love to which they turn.
Thus blooms the blood red passion, to answer the need that love discerns.

Declares the Holy One, "I have called you by name! You are mine!"
When He separates and sanctifies, His elect, for purposes divine!
Because they belong to Him, with His sacrificial character, they shine!

"Fear not! I have redeemed you!" enjoined to battle with His confidence!
Called to this mission of mercy, to give the questioners a sure defense!
Interceding for the prideful, so they can be convinced!

Even if the sinner, to whom he speaks, the message does deplore,
Sees fit to persecute the messenger, cause rancor and discord,
No matter the cost, whether living or dying, he belongs to the Lord!

To know that his contribution is a gift which God has planned.
To have the honor of serving Him, is a blessing from His hand!
Sends him working at a feverish pitch, towards Love's vision, wide and grand!

Why Are They So Mean?

This has got to be the proverbial question of the ages. Of course the answer would depend on who was asking the question, but the Bible has insider information to offer us.

Here are my own results from my investigation into this phenomenon. The Lord has shown me, personally, that the virulent hatred of those who do not even know me, is nothing but, and no more than, jealousy. The reason that this was a revelation to me was that I had always assumed (like most people do) that hatred has to have a cause, a reason for it's existence! (In other words, I've done something to deserve it!) Falling into line with this "fallacy", those who hate will always be able to justify their emotional response, either from fantasy, or by twisting reality, but they have no excuse.

What can be said about those where the association starts out pleasant, and then over time starts to degrade, becoming increasingly negative as to their opinion and treatment of us? What about those who know us very well, and use it to take advantage? That see humbleness as a means for opportunity and entitlement? Just remember how the Bible says that we are not battling humans, but wicked spirits that influence. It's not the person, but another entity entirely, that takes envy to a whole new level. Their malevolence is reserved for the servants of the Most High King, who fill an office(despite the weakness) that the spirits are no longer qualified for. They are angry at their replacements. Their pride says that they are better than us!

So how could the Lord let us be exposed to these diabolically minded individuals who definitely do not want us to live up to our calling? Simple. He does not want us to commit the same errors. God wants us to see what happens when we are not like minded with Him. The other beings thought they had better ideas than God. It becomes a contest of gods, a war for supremacy. The artwork of the Creator is despoiled by the battle.

There can only be One. He only wants you to see the Blessedness of Who He Is, to have you participate in the Compassion which Is His Person. He wants us to recognize the destruction that is anything that is not of Him. We must reject all but Him as God!

1 Peter 4:1
Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,

Justified!

You had good reasons to act the way you did! You started with only the best motives, you know! It wasn't you who made things go wrong! You were the victim. Someone else twisted everything because that wasn't how you meant it to be. You can't be blamed because you did your best!

Making excuses is what happens when you are trying to justify yourself. If we've followed our own standards, our own rules, then it's supposed to make it okay, excusable. I mean, we had reasons to act as we did! Our anger will not permit us to see it any other way. We're rationalizing ourselves away from the truth.

By those same standards, our own, isn't it tempting to think that something, anything, about ourselves, or what we can do, is gonna save us! We want to be prepared, want to dot all of our i's and cross all of our t's, so as to have our bags packed for heaven. Again, we did our best, and again, our reasoning is leading us away from the truth. Following the law is acting a part, it's worshipping a description, rather than a person. If we think we can achieve the goal of matching the description of the character of God ourselves, then we don't need Him, we don't need God at all!

Whether what we offer up is according to our own rules, or whether we follow a script, it's all about us. If we do anything, anything at all, to save ourselves, or keep ourselves saved, then we are usurping God's authority: "Whatever is not of faith is sin."Romans 14:23

The evidence of a justified man is humbleness! His acts of love and obedience come, not from a desire to prove himself, but from an awareness of just how much his redemption cost, and of the beauty and worthiness of Him whom he serves. This man mourns, while desperately wishing he could change the past, wishes that there were something about himself that was worth something, anything at all, to the One who loved him. He knows he has nothing to offer. He can only surrender. Confronting love, he can only worship!

It's only the one who does not slough off, does not ignore his sins, who has felt their overwhelming weight, and been compelled to turn them over to the only One who can, and has, born that burden for him, despite his feelings of unworthiness, that is justified! "Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled."Matthew 5:6  Righteousness, God's character of unfailing, sacrificial love, can only be gained as a gift from the Only one who IS perfect. Our yearning for perfect love can but drive us to the Source. It must be He, Himself, that we crave, obsess about, dream about, and worship! We must wait on Him to fill us with Himself! We must belong to Him, and want that, with every fiber of our being! When we trust only Him, when we are His, we are justified by Him! "It is God who justifies!"Romans 8:33

The Perfect Storm

Caught up in the storm, and torn away from my moorings, by the tide,
In the winter of my disaffection, my search revealed no where to hide.
From stormy faces set against me with their anger walled inside,
puppets, manipulated by my enemy, to drive me from the peace, where I reside.
This storm can rage around me as it wills, for my security is not from here.
Even grief or exile cannot change my destiny, or interfere.
Inundated by the water of increasing pressure that's more severe,
This tempest is surrounded, and used by Divinity, despite my fear.
The adversary wants me to wonder, what it is about me, that they SO despise,
Father whispers gently"Look to see the evidence, of their jealousy" with my eyes.
The verdicts that they pronounce with lying lips, I refuse to internalize,
It seems they don't know, that I'm wise to the schemes, that they devise.
When they come at me with accusations, I'm speechless with astonishment!
What is the wrong that I have done, that they would use me as a vent?
What justifies the anger, that leaves them incoherent?
A sarcastic rejoinder, on my part, would feel heaven sent!
That reaction is not an option. I'm called to better things!
Like honest vulnerability, and the responsibilities it brings.
How can they understand, more that the surface, if they're hiding?
Their own fear behind, the wall of anger, where they're residing?
How forbidding is the sense of pressure in the air!
When approaches evil, but you cannot tell from where!
An engineered calamity, strikes from serpent's coils,
Emerging, as he does, from hiding, where turbulent water roils.
White tipped waves hurtling, over seawalls thought secure,
Sudden horrendous sorrow! That we must now endure!
Not yet! The agony, that we've been warned about!
From the lips of countless watchmen, praying and devout!
There's no more time to waste!
Can't you see it's just a taste?
Of hell's fury, come to earth,
the agony preceding a new birth!
As through a window, I view with curious detachment,
those who will soon face, the foe that will not relent.
What is it about the signs, that are happening?
That makes them oblivious, to what all this will bring?
Why will they not listen, when I beg them to repent?
They've never heeded the watchmen, that Adonai has sent.
It just seems so surreal, to understand the times.
When none of those around me, can hear the midnight chimes.

The Knowing

Throughout the ages, I have waited
with infinite patience, unabated.
I've never tired, nor grown weary
diligent to culminate my artistry.
This jewel I receive, at the end
Is built on the foundation of the love I intend.
I already knew, you and your heart
I've already planned, to make you a part.
of My inheritance, of who I Am.
You will shine with the light of the Lamb.
You're but a small flame, in the wind,
trusting in the Word I send.
The winds of hatred, can but feed that flame!
Because it's of Me! My Love! The very same!
Don't be afraid, of My embrace!
Of the longing you have, to see my face!
Can you understand, that soon, you too?
Will know Me, as I've known you?
Be assured, that I've prepared a place,
for gentle humility will not be disgraced!
Where the light of truth, is shared among sons.
Where glorious peace and justice are done!
I've always known you, shining in my strength.
A moment more, and you will rejoice at length!
Forever a part of My joy and peace.
That which you know of Me, will only increase.
For the greatest reward, yet awaits you.
The complete joy of My heart, will be yours, too.
