Shadows of the Real

This empirically proven vision, which we call reality
Is but a fleeting observation, stored in memory.
The innocence of arching shape, sparks beauty to our soul,
The physical, but a flower, from which time must take it's toll.
Soon time will end, a mechanism winding down.
Yet, eternally, believer's consciousness, in praise and glory will be found.
Just as the wisdom of our God, by the physical is concealed,
So too, the plan of God, by law and ritual, has been revealed.
It is for the glory of our God, when He conceals a matter,
from unbelievers, whom by rebellion He does scatter.
Here a little, there a little, is unveiled the master plan.
Progressively revealed to us, as we are given to understand.
Torah is a shadow of the love of our great King.
When that love is come to us, our joy mounts up on eagle's wings.
Messiah shall return, to gather those who are His.
Then we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
The Spirit given us, is the lawkeeper of our hearts,
We, the temple of our God, to participate as part,
of the kingdom of His Christ, told as parables,
stories of the future, of prophesies fulfilled in full.
The times set to celebrate, commemorate before the fact
God's prewritten history, of how He would soon act.
The feasts a perpetual covenant of events due to unfold,
The epic of His redemption, that He has for so long foretold.
Such a lyrical enigma, that ideas far beyond our ken,
by faith, through the Spirit, are opened to the eyes of men.

Shabbat Shalom!

These words are not just for one day a week any more! The repressive, and aggressively oppressive world system, which satan has inaugurated and instituted, are no longer relevant. The lock down of the curse has been reversed! It is THE good news!

The law had brought a curse with it. When it was not obeyed, restitution had to be made! Thank God, alongside, and embedded into it, the law comes with the promise! It is a revelation of the infinite! (Heb 3:5)

Shalom does not just mean peace. The peace of shalom means restitution  has been made. It is the relief of completion. The fullness of redemption, that the price has been paid, is expressed here!

Shabbat means rest. It is not a cessation of activity, but the time when the struggle against opposing forces is over. It is the approved day for us to cease our striving to produce the fruits of righteousness on our own. This is the point where we let God take over. Intrinsic in it is the comfort and security of the observation that He is right there with us.

Peace and rest can only be accomplished, can only be fulfilled, in  Christ Jesus, our Yeshuah (salvation). "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28). "For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility.(Ephesians 2:14)  We are "not able to enter (His rest) because of unbelief." (Hebrew 3:19) "We who have believed enter that rest." (Heb 4:3) " God again set a certain day, calling it “Today.” , for those who enter God’s rest also rest from their own work, just as God did from his.   (Heb 4:7,10)

The Royal Law (James 2:8)

"Unless your righteousness exceeds that of the pharisees, you shall in no wise enter the kingdom of heaven". (Matthew 5:19-21) The pharisees "cleaned the outside of the cup" and were "whitewashed tombs full of dead men's bones." What were they missing? They followed the law to the letter.

A certain young ruler, who had "kept the law since birth" and who "was very rich" asked Jesus how he could inherit the kingdom of heaven.(Luke 18:18-27) Jesus told him to get rid of his distractions, invest them in heaven's kingdom, and to follow HIM (Jesus). "Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me."(Matthew 16:24) "And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me."(Matthew 10:38)

Jesus, HIMSELF, is our salvation (Yesuha/salvation). He holds the keys to death and hell. He has sealed the new covenant with HIS precious blood  (Hebrew 5:9).What has He commanded us to do? "Love one another, as I have loved you (John 13:34). This is the only  time Jesus says "I command". The king has spoken.

Under the new covenant, it is not just about our behavior anymore, but is about what motivates us. This is a much higher, stricter standard. The ceremonial, incomplete trappings of the law have been satisfied by Him whom they were a witness of. The law has been superseded by the perfection of love's expression! (2Cor 13)

"For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love!"( Gal 5:6)
So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. (James 2:12)

Sons of the Father

What we believe and think is our personal responsibility. Every man must be fully persuaded in his own mind. What we think is to be tested, in real time, as our Lord was tested. Make no mistakes, we are participants in a war of ideas. There will be collateral damage. Who is right? Whose ideas will be codified into wisdom, because they have withstood the storm, flood, and fire, and been found to be solid and true? As Paul said, rejoice and be exceedingly glad when you face trials, because when they are over, what will be left is only what is of most value, what works! All else will be burned, or washed away, the only thing left being the gold of the character of God. We are being molded into the image of Christ. “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son…” Romans 8:29.

What does this godly image look like, that we are to present to the world?

Luke 6:22-35
Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

22 “How blessed you are whenever people hate you and ostracize you and insult you and denounce you as a criminal on account of the Son of Man.
23 Be glad when that happens; yes, dance for joy! because in heaven your reward is great. For that is just how their fathers treated the prophets.
24 “But woe to you who are rich,
for you have already had all the comfort you will get!
25 “Woe to you who are full now, for you will go hungry! “Woe to you who are laughing now,
for you will mourn and cry!
26 “Woe to you when people speak well of you, for that is just how their fathers treated the false prophets!
27 Nevertheless, to you who are listening, what I say is this: “Love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you,
28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
29 “If someone hits you on one cheek, offer the other too; if someone takes your coat, let him have your shirt as well.
30 “If someone asks you for something, give it to him; if someone takes what belongs to you, don’t demand it back.
31 “Treat other people as you would like them to treat you.
32 What credit is it to you if you love only those who love you? Why, even sinners love those who love them.
33 What credit is it to you if you do good only to those who do good to you? Even sinners do that.
34 What credit is it to you if you lend only to those who you expect will pay you back? Even sinners lend to each other, expecting to be repaid in full.
35 But love your enemies, do good, and lend expecting nothing back! Your reward will be great, and you will be children of Ha‘Elyon; for he is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked.

This is not the empty shell of self righteousness. It is not a rigid code of proper appearances. It is, instead, the burning passion flowing from the conviction of love!
