“Brothers, count it all joy when you counter various trials…” THIS is what it means to suffer for Jesus! It is so wonderful when He lets us be worthy to suffer for His Name, to be like Him in attitude and posture, when He saw only joy coming from His own suffering, so that He despised the shame the enemy inflicted on Him, because Jesus KNEW that His sacrifice would turn many to Himself. I have seen this in action these past two days, in the death of Charlie Kirk, with all the grown men crying and realizing from this sacrifice, how much they were loved. Jesus said we lay down our lives for our friends, because that is the greatest love.
