Shabbat Shalom!

These words are not just for one day a week any more! The repressive, and aggressively oppressive world system, which satan has inaugurated and instituted, are no longer relevant. The lock down of the curse has been reversed! It is THE good news!

The law had brought a curse with it. When it was not obeyed, restitution had to be made! Thank God, alongside, and embedded into it, the law comes with the promise! It is a revelation of the infinite! (Heb 3:5)

Shalom does not just mean peace. The peace of shalom means restitution  has been made. It is the relief of completion. The fullness of redemption, that the price has been paid, is expressed here!

Shabbat means rest. It is not a cessation of activity, but the time when the struggle against opposing forces is over. It is the approved day for us to cease our striving to produce the fruits of righteousness on our own. This is the point where we let God take over. Intrinsic in it is the comfort and security of the observation that He is right there with us.

Peace and rest can only be accomplished, can only be fulfilled, in  Christ Jesus, our Yeshuah (salvation). "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28). "For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility.(Ephesians 2:14)  We are "not able to enter (His rest) because of unbelief." (Hebrew 3:19) "We who have believed enter that rest." (Heb 4:3) " God again set a certain day, calling it “Today.” , for those who enter God’s rest also rest from their own work, just as God did from his.   (Heb 4:7,10)

I like how you said: "This is the point where we let God take over." Sabbath is one of the most important, if not the most important time of the week! Thanks for your post. Chris
